I’m a novelist and short story writer from Edinburgh. My second novel Always North will be published by Unsung Stories later this year. You can read about it here.

My first novel, Nothing is Heavy, was published by Linen Press in September 2012. It was shortlisted for the Saltire Society Scottish First Book of the Year Award 2013. It is available direct from the publishers, via Amazon UK, is stocked in selected bookshops and can be ordered through most others.

A collection of short stories, The Way Out, was published in March 2015 by Freight Books. The Way Out was long-listed for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award 2015, and shortlisted for the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize 2015 and the Edge Hill Short Story Prize 2016. Unfortunately in 2017 Freight Books ceased trading. Second-hand copies of the collection are still available online, and in the physical world from some bookshops.
